Dear St. Thomas Family,
This week has been full of Christmas cheer! The students are busily rehearsing their performances for the next week's Christmas Program (Wednesday, December 19, students arrive at Sherman Indian High School at 6:00), the Holiday Store has been mobbed with eager shoppers, and our volunteer Moms, Dads, and Grandparents served up a delicious lunch to students and staff of ham, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, and cake! St. Thomas the Apostle School is in the spirit!
Students may wear free dress next Wednesday to school Christmas colors are recommended, but as long as they stay in the dress code, but really, this is a parents responsibility. Also, too many of our girls are showing up with manicures and very visible nail polish. Clear nail polish only.
A reminder: School sends next Wednesday with the Christmas Performance. We had to cancel school on Thursday, Dec. 20, because of the funeral of Fr. Ed Cardoza on that day. Bishop Barnes is schedules to officiate, and the parking lot would be too crowded to allow our parents to park and pick up their children. We will make-up this half-day later in the year.
Casino Night is coming up on Feb 1st in our Hall. Family Fun Day is on March 2nd and the school breakfast is after morning masses on March 3rd. Please plan ahead and save those dates.
If your student, boy or girl, in grades 1-4 would like to play soccer, please let us know Monday!!!! We are still short players, especially in grades 1 & 2. The Athletic Director meeting is Monday.
Last thought: If you want to donate to the Firefighters' Toy Drive for Christmas, we will have a box in the front office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week. An unwrapped toy will be appreciated!
Blessings and Merry Christmas,
Dr. Dian Pizurie, Principal
