Dear St. Thomas Family:

Happy St. Valentine’s Day!  This morning Tamara Saba enlightened us with a brief history of who was St. Valentine and why he is associated with love. It was very informative.  Thank you, Tamara.

Our day has progressed amid hearts and chocolates, cupcakes and sprinkles:  In other words, just another St. Thomas school day!  Thank you to all the Room Ambassadors that made the afternoon parties so wonderful.

Congratulations to the 8th grade students who worked so hard on their portfolios for the Notre Dame Scholarship.  God Bless to you all!

School dance tonight, 6:30-9:00, put on for 6th through 8th grade students.  Thanks in advance to the Student Leadership for planning, setting up, and cleaning up for the dance.  I am one of the chaperones, and I threatened to make the kids learn how I danced in the ‘60’s…but I wouldn’t do that to them!  Just kidding!

NO SCHOOL NEXT WEEK!  Winter Break.  Back bright and early on Monday, Feb. 24th.  Ash Wednesday is the week we return.  Lent begins.  Easter is April 12, so we have about 7 weeks after we return before our next break!

Don’t let your students forget their Read-a-Thon lists.  Read-a-Thon ends on Monday, March 2.  That is the last day to turn in your lists.  Three Barnes and Noble gift cards will be awarded:  One for the top readers in each section—TK-2; 3-5; 6-8.  Remember:  All times must be verified with Parent/Guardian signatures.

Please enjoy your time off.  Use the time to rest, connect with family, and have some fun.

Blessings,

Dr. Dian Pizurie, Principal
