Dear St. Thomas Family
In just 3 more weeks, school will be over and our vacation begins. Friday, June 7, is our last day. In addition, it’s a half day, and there is no Extended Care. In 2 weeks our 8th grade will be graduating. Can you believe how fast this year has flown by?
Meanwhile, we have a lot to fit into the remaining time. Tonight is our Sports Banquet! I hope you made your reservations because we have ordered all the food and no tickets are available at the door.
Sunday after the morning Masses, please come into the Hall and visit the Book Fair! We are also serving breakfast for $6.00 a plate. Our menu is always extensive and good: Pancakes, eggs, eggs w/chorizo, sausage, fruit, and more!
Monday is our Open House from 5:30 to 7:30. Please stop by the classrooms and see what our students are accomplishing. Our Science Fair will be set up in the Hall as well for you to see. Book Fair will also be open, and this year we have a new attraction: Used Uniform Sale! The flyer went home last week, and you can pick up some real bargains for your growing student!
We can still use some volunteers for both the Uniform Sale and for Sunday Breakfast. Please check into the front office for the sale; we will start preparing breakfast at 6:00 A.M. on Sunday. Helpers will be needed from start to finish, and we hope to be cleaned up from breakfast by about 1:00.
Our Puppy Raffle is drawing to a close. Tickets are only $20.00 for a chance to win a beautiful, little boy, French Bulldog. He will have his preliminary shots, and he is AKC Registered as a pet. We will draw for the winner on Wednesday, May 29th.
Please return your registration packets as soon as possible. We are already making lists of what texts we need to buy for next year, and we use our registration numbers as a benchmark. Don’t forget that supply lists and Summer Reading assignments went out with the rest of the paperwork!
Attached you will find a letter from a parent who is a Realtor. He is offering to contribute 20% of his commission back to the school if you or someone you refer will mention the attached letter when they use Mr. Sintek to buy or sell real estate.
Also, Kona Ice cups are available for sale before the picnic (June 6th.). Place your orders now so your child can enjoy this treat. Forms are still available—check the front office or your student’s teacher.
Blessings, Dr.Dian Pizurie, Principal
