Dear St. Thomas Family:
We have had a busy and productive week. Lent has officially started with our Mass on Ash Wednesday where Father helped us see the positive things that could be accomplished during Lent if we concentrate on fixing ourselves and not just on giving something up. our 8th grade students served the community by giving out the ashes at Mass, and several parents were visibly moved when they received ashes from their child.
Ending and Beginnings: Read-a-Thon ends on Monday; please be sure to sign off on your child's entry sheet and send it on Monday to make your child eligible for one of the three prizes- Barnes and Noble gift cards. Mixed Bags fundraiser starts Monday; a flyer will go home with the students.
Save the Date! 4th Annual Casino Night is scheduled for Friday April 24th. We are looking for volunteers for Casino Night. Earn easy hours form the comfort of your own home. Intrigued? Contact Cathy Haynes at (951) 907- 5361, if you can help out.
We are trying something new: Save the Date for St. Thomas night at Angel Baseball (and apologies to you Dodger fans... but the Dodgers didn't reach out to us). We are scheduled for May 16th, a Saturday. The game is Angels vs. Athletics, and it is followed by fireworks and a concert by Chase Rice! All that for $20.00 a ticket.
For those who have commented on our wild garden of various lettuces, we plan to include a freshly picked salad with lunch on Tuesday for only .50 cents apiece. We plant it, we grow it, we eat it!
We still need VOLUNTEERS FOR HOT LUNCH- TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS! Call the front office.
